Use:
4-BOC-PIPERAZINE-2-(R)-CARBOXYLIC ACID is commonly used as an intermediate and protecting group in organic synthesis. It can be used to synthesize a variety of bioactive molecules, such as drugs, biological materials and pesticides. Because of its stereoselectivity, it can be used as a precursor of chiral catalyst for catalytic asymmetric synthesis.
Method:
4-BOC-PIPERAZINE-2-(R)-CARBOXYLIC ACID can be prepared by reacting piperazine with (Boc)2O under basic conditions. Piperazine is first dissolved in acetonitrile or methanol, a base catalyst such as triethylamine is added, (Boc)2O is added, and after completion of the reaction, hydrolysis acidification is carried out to obtain the target product.
